Biological Resource Center of the Besançon University Hospital
The Biological Resource Center (BRC) collecs, prepares and stores patient biological material and manages the associated data. The CRB stores the samples for an unlimited time, with guarantees of quality and traceability, for health or research purposes.
The BRC has two branches:

- The Centre de Ressources Biologiques – Filière Microbiologique, Besançon hosted by the department of Infection Control

The Tumorothèque Régionale de Franche-Comté is certified for its management of quality insurance according to the standart ISO 9001 and ISO 20387 for biobanking activities: collection, preparation, storage and delivery for research of frozen human tissues and biological fluids r DNA extracted, annotated, in the field of oncology.
The Centre de Ressources Biologiques – Filière Microbiologique, Besançon is ISO 9001 and ISO 20387 certified for the collection, preparation, storage and delivery for research of annotated microorganisms.
This microbe biobank was supported by a European Grant “Fonds Européen de DEveloppement Regional” (FEDER 34534).
